Ramato

A colour, our identity

When he saw it, Dal Molin just couldn’t believe his eyes. The model was called Speciale Corsa – of the Giro d’Italia kind. The frame was identical to the one used by the Wilier Triestina racing team riders captained by Giordano Cottur, but it was in an exclusive colour. Daring, stylish, unprecedented.
It was Bruno Villari, head of the Wilier painting department, who created the Ranato (copper) hue thanks to a technique which was then patented and is today covered by trade secrecy. The first Wilier Triestina Ramato certified bicycle dates back to 1947.
Wilier

Moving forward while looking back

Today, this incredible reflection is available on our high-end monocoque carbon bikes. A colour that retains its old-fashioned allure thanks to the super light model made with a steel frame. The Columbus SL tubes are given their Ramato tinge at the end of a process which retains its craft-based aspect intact.
